Electric Clowns : Rock

All hand-drawn, digitally painted, hand-animated and composed completely in Final Cut, this video marks the peak of my animating ability. Letting my mind run wild with ideas and creating a total landscape in which those ideas could live, “I THINK WE’RE LOSING OUR MINDS” tells the story about a couple who have to leave each other before, inevitably, the worst potentially happens. Cutting out her own heart and leaving it for him to find, with a note on the fridge door explaining her motivations, he wanders the neon soaked rainy city streets in search of solace, only to find his previous love in the throes of two other men, her mouth opens up and a gun shoots out protagonist in the face, causing him to dive backwards into a puddle that transports him to the solace he has long been searching for.

It’s a wild, wild ride indicative of looking like a cutscene from a Mega Drive / Genesis game.
