More a promo for the album rather than a music video to a track, it was a super short film based around this idea of ‘resurrection’; our character being jumped, beaten and almost killed, all told from witnessing the result of the injuries from his hospital bed, shown predominantly in flashback. The violence was initially toned down from our original script, wary that too much violence would deter our audience however, it mostly remains as it couldn’t be removed completely due to the concept. Shot over the course of a day, continually running short on time and with the weather against us, it was remarkable I was able to shoot what I had originally planned. From the low-angle tracking shot of the high rises to the silhouetted spitting blood shots from the original shot list, shot for shot it was designed to have an artistic quality and framed for a 2:35:1 aspect.
