IDKID : Rock

DEADLY was an ever evolving, ever changing project that’s main thread stayed the same throughout; an obsession for personal perfection. My outing with IDKID for “Deadly” focused on this, ‘of the time’ concept.

In a world where the window into people’s lives is through their phones and every piece of information is fair game, from grief hawks to sycophantic obsessives inadvertently influencing the minds of who follow them. The time of a person’s image being scrutinized to the engh of a degree by anyone with a device that allows them to have an opinion, rightfully earned or not. The basis for the video focused on someone who was so obsessed with trying to attain that image that they follow, document and stalk individuals pertaining to the goal of that image, even seeing nothing but a reflection of themselves in the people that they’ve chosen. As deep as this appears, the simplicity of the story was a stalkers kidnaps an individual, only to reveal that the person who was taken, was herself.
