Documentary / 21:40 mins

As CANCEROUS WOMB were going to Chambers Studios to record their first LP, I had been asked to come in for a few days to shoot some footage for a documentary, making-of project.

I had gone in initially to do a test shoot day, figure out colour codes and lighting choices. The lighting choice was fairly limited, deciding to stick to the low-key already present lamps than installing further lights that may impede on my framing and shot choices. The look itself, luckily, evolved from the lighting choices in each of the rooms but the main highlight was the sepia yellow of the main mixing room, with the wall behind it.

Shot over the course of a week and with some added interviews, it was cut quickly to allow some time to mix the soundtrack. Very different from some of the projects I usually take on, what came from it instilled a creative weight became the landmark for the band in question.

Directed, Produced, Shot, Chopped by Ryan Henderson.
